About this role
About Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting specializes in fixing enterprise systems that have lost their way. Many organizations invest heavily in complex planning and reporting tools, only to find that the initial implementation was rushed or poorly planned. This leads to finance teams struggling with mismatched numbers and slow month end processes. We step in to reconfigure these systems or build new ones from the ground up, ensuring that the data is accurate and the logic is transparent.
Our team consists of senior consultants who have spent years working with platforms like Oracle EPM and SAP BPC. We do not use client projects as a training ground for dozens of staff: instead, we provide direct expertise to ensure a reliable outcome. We are currently engaged with a major European logistics firm to overhaul their reporting infrastructure, helping them move away from fragmented data toward a single source of truth. Transparency is a core value for us, which is why we emphasize clear documentation and fixed price engagements whenever possible.
The role
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer Intern to support our technical team in building clear, functional interfaces for financial and operational data. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from your preferred location while staying connected through digital tools. In this role, you will help bridge the gap between complex backend data and the business users who need to make sense of it. Since we work with a major European logistics firm, the interfaces you help build will directly impact how large scale shipping and supply chain data is visualized.
This is a paid internship, and we offer a competitive rate for the local market. As an intern, you will not be expected to manage projects alone. You will work under the guidance of our senior engineers, learning how to write code that meets professional enterprise standards. The focus here is on reliability and clarity: we avoid unnecessary complexity in favor of systems that the client can actually maintain after our handover is complete.
What you will be doing
Working here means moving away from corporate fluff and focusing on technical problems that matter. We do not believe in busy work or endless meetings. Because our team is fully remote, we rely on clear written communication and a shared commitment to quality. You will see how professional consultants handle difficult implementations and learn the importance of building systems that are meant to last.
Our goal is always to leave the client in a better position than we found them. This means we value clean data, predictable results, and documentation that actually gets read. As an intern, you will be a valued part of this process, contributing to a real world project for a major European logistics firm while building a solid foundation for your career in software engineering.
