Mobile & Backend Engineer (React Native)
📍 Location: Berlin (Hybrid)
💰 Salary: Up to 80,000 euros
🕒 Type: Full-time
This is a true full-stack product engineering role where you'll own features from the mobile app through to the backend services that power it.
Working within a small, high-performing Product & Tech team, you'll build customer-facing experiences, backend APIs, and internal tooling that directly impact thousands of users every day. With short decision-making cycles and plenty of autonomy, you'll see your work go from idea to production in days rather than months.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and ship new features across a React Native mobile application
- Develop backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
- Work on customer ordering, loyalty, rewards and payment experiences
- Build integrations with payment providers, POS systems and third-party services
- Develop internal tools that support day-to-day operations
- Improve application performance, reliability and observability
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Operations to deliver new features quickly
What They're Looking For
- 4+ years' experience building production mobile applications
- Strong commercial experience with React Native (Expo desirable)
- Solid backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Knowledge of MongoDB or other database technologies
- Experience shipping apps to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mentality
Nice to Have
- Experience with Stripe or payment platforms
- Exposure to AWS cloud services
- Experience with POS or retail technology integrations
- German language skills
