Compensation: €120,000 – €160,000 base + up to 20% bonus + equity

About the Role
My client is an innovative AI-native tech company in Berlin. They are seeking a Director of AI/ML to lead their M/ AI strategy. You will scale our AI capabilities, build world-class teams, and turn cutting-edge research into commercial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Vision: Own and execute the AI/ML roadmap aligned with core business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and scale multidisciplinary teams of ML engineers, data scientists, and researchers.
- Technical Delivery: Drive the architecture and deployment of production-grade, scalable AI systems and ML lifecycles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and executive stakeholders to prioritize AI initiatives.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to robust model performance, security, privacy, and ethical AI standards.
Required Experience
- 8+ years in machine learning, AI, or data science, with 3+ years in leadership/management.
- Proven track record of delivering machine learning solutions in production environments.
- Demonstrated success scaling technical teams through periods of rapid growth.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience across engineering and executive levels.
