About this role

We're building something that doesn't exist yet — and we're looking for an Ad Tech Engineer based in Berlin to help us do it.

Our model is simple: we deliver advertising revenue back to independent local broadcasters in developing countries.

What makes this technically interesting:

→ We're building a first-party ad server and DMP from scratch on a lean open-source stack (Python / FastAPI / PostgreSQL / AWS)

→ Audience measurement via Triton Webcast Metrics — certified from day one

→ Telco data enrichment via AWS Clean Rooms — matching our listener profiles against subscriber data from Telcos to create targeting capabilities that don't exist anywhere else in this market

→ Serving audio at 12 kbps on 2G networks and 48 kbps on 4G — every byte counts

What we're looking for:

→ Strong Python / backend engineering

→ Experience with ad tech: OpenRTB, VAST, Prebid, or similar

→ AWS experience (ECS, RDS, CloudFront, or Clean Rooms a plus)

→ Interest in working on something that matters beyond the sprint board

  • If this sounds like your kind of problem please mail to klaas@mict-international.org
