Sonova is seeking an experienced Senior Director, BI, Data & Analytics to lead the company's global data and analytics organization. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), this executive role will define and execute Sonova's enterprise-wide data strategy, driving business value through analytics, AI, modern data platforms, and data governance.
This is a highly strategic leadership position responsible for transforming the organization into a truly data-driven enterprise while enabling innovation, operational excellence, and revenue growth.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), this executive role will define and execute Sonova's enterprise-wide data strategy, driving business value through analytics, AI, modern data platforms, and data governance.
This is a highly strategic leadership position responsible for transforming the organization into a truly data-driven enterprise while enabling innovation, operational excellence, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global enterprise data and analytics strategy.
- Lead and scale a centralized global Data & Analytics organization, managing direct and indirect teams across multiple regions.
- Establish enterprise-wide data governance, data architecture standards, and operating models.
- Drive adoption of modern cloud-based data platforms, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, IT, and business functions to identify and prioritize high-value data initiatives.
- Lead enterprise data transformation programs, ensuring measurable business outcomes and value realization.
- Build and oversee scalable data engineering, data science, business intelligence, and analytics capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to monetize data and develop innovative data products.
- Manage external technology partners and strategic vendors.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives on data strategy, AI opportunities, governance, investment decisions, and emerging technologies.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or another quantitative discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Digital organizations.
- Proven success leading enterprise-wide data transformation in large, global organizations.
- Experience developing and executing enterprise data strategy and digital architecture roadmaps.
- Strong background in data governance, data management, enterprise analytics, and modern cloud data platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Analytics teams.
- Experience redesigning operating models, organizational capabilities, and data functions.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and advanced analytics solutions.
- Experience managing large global teams, external vendors, and strategic technology partnerships.
- Commercial mindset with experience identifying business value from data and analytics investments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Fluent English.
- Experience within healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of international regulatory environments.
- German language skills are advantageous.
- This role can be based in Berlin, Singapore or Staefa
