About this role
Senior Robotics Machine Learning Engineer (Tech Lead)
Build technology that moves robots in the real world.
What if your next breakthrough didn't end up as another research paper—but powered industrial robots used by manufacturers across the globe?
We're partnering with one of Europe's most exciting robotics software companies to find a Senior Robotics Machine Learning Engineer who wants to push the boundaries of intelligent automation.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly ambitious engineering team where cutting-edge robotics research becomes real products that solve real-world industrial problems.
If you're passionate about robotics, machine learning and building technology from the ground up, you'll feel right at home.
The Opportunity
You'll lead the technical direction of a brand-new machine learning initiative focused on modelling and predicting industrial robot behaviour.
Working at the intersection of robotics, AI and software engineering, you'll take ideas from early-stage research and transform them into scalable systems used in live production environments.
This is a genuine greenfield opportunity—no legacy systems, no endless backlog, just complex technical challenges waiting to be solved.
You'll have the freedom to prototype, experiment and shape the future of the project while working alongside an exceptionally strong engineering team that values curiosity, ownership and technical excellence.
What You'll Be Working On
- Developing machine learning models for industrial robot dynamics.
- Building intelligent systems that learn from real robot motion data.
- Applying Reinforcement Learning, Learning from Demonstration and System Identification techniques.
- Designing scalable ML infrastructure as the project evolves.
- Leading technical direction within a small, highly capable engineering team.
- Solving challenging engineering problems with direct real-world impact.
Who We're Looking For
You'll likely have experience in several of the following:
- Machine Learning, Deep Learning or Applied AI.
- Robotics, particularly robot manipulation or industrial robotics.
- Reinforcement Learning, Dynamics Modelling or Control Systems.
- Strong software engineering skills using C++ and/or Python.
- Research experience demonstrated through publications or significant technical projects.
- A passion for solving difficult technical problems and turning research into production software.
Whether you've built your expertise through academia, industry, or a combination of both, we're interested in people who are naturally curious, technically exceptional and excited by solving problems that haven't been solved before.
Why Join?
This isn't another robotics company building demos or proof-of-concepts.
The technology you'll help develop is already creating value in industry today, helping manufacturers automate smarter and more efficiently.
You'll join a collaborative, engineering-first environment where technical ideas are encouraged, ownership is expected and innovation happens quickly.
For someone who wants to move beyond publishing research and start seeing their work deployed into the real world, opportunities like this don't come around often.
If you want to build the next generation of intelligent robotics software—and leave a lasting mark on the future of automation—we'd love to hear from you.
